Pearl Bryant
Pearl Bryant found that she received little guidance in her conventional schooling on how to run a business and be a therapist. She began working with Vanessa after struggling with the nuanced challenges that arose from holding both of these positions, and in April 2021, decided it was time to learn how to create a group practice. Thankfully, she found Vanessa, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Pinnacle of Purpose Counseling, PLLC was established with the goal of assisting women of color in tearing down preconceived notions of who they are, while discovering new and more authentic ways to be present in the world. To date, Pearl has built a hybrid group practice in Pearland, Texas, and has grown her team to five clinicians in a short time. Furthermore, Pearl is now equipped to use social media as a means to promote the mental health of black and brown folx. Not to mention, her self-confidence as a business owner, a leader, and a mother has significantly increased. Her unwavering faith in herself, her company, and her mission is felt by all who are privileged enough to meet and work with Pearl.
So, how did Pearl reach such heights of achievement?
Vanessa’s unique approach combines tactical strategy and personalized support. She is able to identify practical roadmaps for her clients in order to make their dream a reality, while concurrently guiding them to embody the necessary entrepreneurial mindset. Vanessa has helped Pearl to develop structure around her vision, as well as address relevant blind spots. Pearl is suitably challenged by Vanessa to make sure she not only understands her "why," but also has the means and perspective to carry it out.
While there once was a time when Pearl was overcome by her own empathy, Vanessa taught her how to distinguish between running a business and being a therapist. She leaves her sessions with Vanessa feeling affirmed, supported, and seen as a businesswoman. Pearl was initially drawn to work with Vanessa because of her warm personality and ability to promote growth, healing, and clarity by allowing people to be completely themselves. Pearl consistently strives to emulate this quality within her own practice, and needless to say, has succeeded.
