A LITTLE BIT OF MY STORY:

I founded my group practice in 2018 with a dream and one contract clinician. As we enter year 5 of being in business, we stand as a team of 18 clinicians, a 6-person leadership team, two office locations, and growth is still coming. 

Building a group practice is NOT passive income. It’s not an easy way to “get rich” so you don’t have to work. It requires vision, courageous leadership, risk, and the willingness to release control while asking for support to get you to a place where you can start to turn a profit, step out of the therapist chair and build an environment that therapists will want to work, build, and thrive in. 

It's about heart, soul, vision, roots, and getting grounded in what you're trying to build — and why. I’ve had to have some tough conversations with myself over the past 5 years about all of these realities, and I truly believe that it was my dedication to building a values-based business that has led me to where I am today. This is the type of big-hearted entrepreneurship I envision for our world. My hope is that this workshop is the beginning of us walking that journey together.

Many of us decide to walk this path because of what we THINK group practice ownership is like. And as with most things when you are first starting out, the list of To-Dos and challenges you meet each step of the way is overwhelming. However, in my experience, I’ve found a way to quiet the overwhelm and ensure I’m making decisions from an aligned place — and it all starts by knowing my values and using them as the foundational building blocks of my business.
